Good Morning.
I recieved a letter yesterday from a company called,"IVA help line", before I throw it straight in the bin, I would like to ask if any body else has come across them.
They are trying to convince me that I can be debt free in 6 months, and that IVA's are expensive and not the only way.
I have learned from experience that if it sounds to good to be then it probably is.
I am in a happy place now, but I just wanted to ask if anybody else has experienced these companies.

Hi,

Ignore them - it's assisted bankruptcy which will cost you a fortune. They get your details from the Insolvency Register and have no idea of your circumstances.

If you are happy with your IVA then just bin it and carry on as you are.

Thank you Niobe. I am very happy with my IVA, the letter is now in the recycle bin.

Hi there. I agree with Niobe. These people will cost more in the long run and are offering nothing new.

Unscrupulous people and all because........................ we are visiable for all on that blasted insolvancy register, not good. Still think that should be a pay for site and that will stop people praying on vulnerable people.

It should be restricted to those who need to know.

The searches on the site appear to be restricted to one at a time, these people have probably got data dumps from the register to put into their own databases to do mail merges on mass.

Something that the Insolvency Service should clamp down on.

I agree TheMatrix, on a need to know basis would be best for that register, I can't wait for the day I'm off it.

Just as you've done put it in the recycle bin, not worth the paper it's written on in my opinion. x

Stop.... Before you put it in the bin: I have found that the glossy paper these flyers are printed on make for some very good paper airplanes, you can have hours of fun before you throw it away. [;)][:D][:D]

Mine have never been on glossy paper - just ordinary stuff and thrown away as soon as the envelope was opened!!

It is time that this unsolicited nonsense from the bankruptcy assist industry was stopped. Wish the OFT would spend some time looking into this unwanted intrusion and disturbance to consumers.
