i know new phone contracts have been debated before

TMobile have previously been recommended by Forum members who have managed to take out NEW contracts with Tmob ie not with them and then signed up with them as brand new customers

Im thinking of doing this as i see them as being the only option for getting a contract phone and just wondered if anyone has done this recently ie within the last month or so ?

I think you'll be ok - several posters have gone with them as far as I'm aware.

I've taken out a tmobile contract 4 years into my IVA, no problems, I did only take out a low cost £10 option, I don't know if this affects whether you are credit checked or not. If you wanted a £30/£40 per month I phone contract it may be a different matter

I took out a new contract with T-Mobile, which was accepted. Apparently they have approved me for "multiple handsets" .

Morning orchid5

I thought a paper contract may be in lieu of a completion certificate !!

I have £79 credit left on my payg tesco mobile, so whilst I fancy a new phone, even though I'm all IVA paid up now so have spare money, I can't justify throwing away £79 like the old pre IVA days !! That said, I'm ringing the world and their wife in an attempt to get rid of my credit, so in reality I may as well go and buy a new blasted phone, as the way I'm sqwandering the £79' it's the same a s throwing it away .... But I want to keep my existing no

When I take the plunge and try at the Tmobile shop, I will update all and hopefully won't be kicking myself for using my payg credit if I'm rejected !

Three wouldn't touch me with a ten foot barge pole - daughter had to take out the contract for me but I pay the bill.

I took a new T Mobile contract out in April, I was apparently approved for multiple handsets as well. I have the full Monty package (£36 pm)and a new Iphone 4. I did it over the internet and they rang me to confirm a few details, within 10 minutes of putting the order in over the web. I did tell them on the phone I was in an IVA so would fail the credit check but he told me not to worry as although it is a credit check it is more to confirm that you are who you say you are and where you live. He told me there are then I had passed even though I am in my 3rd year of my IVA.

I'll possibly go back to O2 next year when I can upgrade - depends on the phone and the tariff.

I've got an 02 contract and a T-mobile contract which was I got for daughter (she pays it) both up for renewal and she doesn't want hers any more is going back to payg so I'll be able to choose between the two and at the minute t-mobile is winning but let's see who gives me the best deal when the time is here to upgrade. x
