We had our IVA accepted on 30.08.12.
Barclaycard (£2500 owed) chose not to submit a vote.
Over the last week they have called me everyday asking how i intend to pay them, each time i explain im in an IVA and each time they reply..."We will make our decision when we receive your proposal" arrrgh its already accepted!!
I cant seem to make them understand and they are the only creditors who continue to call daily, my husband had Barclaycard debt and they did vote for, strange!!
How long will this continue for??

Hi. Sorry you are having this problem. The calls are probably from a call centre and the chimps there do not even know what an IVA is !
If they call again I would refuse to respond to security questions, or simply hang up.

Hi positivethinking, congrats on having our IVA accepted, calls will settle down soon, I would do as foggy says just don't answer the security questions, when they ring ask who it is and tell them you're not in!! Or alternatively unplug your phone line, if you have a mobile just tell people to ring you on it for a few weeks as you're having nuisance calls on your land line that way they won't disturb you and if you get withheld numbers ringing your mobile just don't answer them!

Ignore them - they can do nothing to you at all. Eventually the info will filter down to the call centres. Just let your IP know that you are still getting the calls so they can sort it out for you.

Alternatively say I would love to make payment,

Step 1. Make up an imaginary 16 digit number.

Step 2. Sorry that card number doesn't seem to work.

Step 3. Go to step 1.

See how long it lasts, you can have some fun and get some satisfaction that you are preventing some muppet from annoying someone else.

Barclaycard didn't turn up for the creditor meeting and I owed them 17k they don't show on any of the three credit agencies reports at all, they were included in the IVA v.odd

I wonderd if at some point later in the IVA as they didn't agree it they could get it overturned, some legal loophole they'd figure out later, but that was over six years ago so past statute

To be honest herbekj - I've better things to do with my time than try to wind up the creditors.

I would refuse to answer the security questions and/or just put the phone down.
