Hi all just to let you know we received completion cert
this morning,over the moon.
We have just waited just over five months so not as bad has quite a few people on here.
We did send a email to our IP Gareth Neill, and had a phone call soon after saying that instead of waiting till October they would do there best if things went without any hitches to close earlier, they stuck to there word.
Don't know what we really need to do now, if we need to contact anyone etc.
Just want to wish all of you still waiting for completion hope it comes soon X
Thank you to all of you who have advised us over the last three years, to numerous to mention.
Also thank you Grant Thornton for getting us out of the mess we were in.
I will carry on reading and posting on the forum, it as been a life line to us.

That's great news Joan - congratulations.

Check your credit files now, any defaults registered after the date of IVA acceptance should be removed and you will need to write to the data controllers at those creditors enclosing a copy of your certificate.

Your name should come off the Insolvency Register soon as well.

Congrats Joan, hopefully this is a path that GT are going to continue and start to issue CC's in a timely fashion. Personally other than checking the Register in a few weeks I would do nothing until end of year 6 as even if you find discrepancies in your credit reports the chances are nothing will happen until that 'anniversary'. My DFD saga continuues, having enquired re completion certificate yesterday, I have today been asked to sign a PPI declaration confirming I have none to claim. This despite confirming this in writing more than 6 months ago. From my point of view awaiting closure from DFD, nothing seems to actualy happen unless you make enquiries and force the issue.

Oh well , when I get any newsbi will update ipon a new thread so as not to hi jack yours
