Hi Mark and welcome to the forum

The balancing of payments to creditors which were incorrectly made does seem to be one of GT's achilles heels at the moment. They do have a dedicated closures team who would be well worth a chat with to see if they can give you a better idea of how much longer you will need to wait.

Sadly it is not possible to "chat" with the GT closure team, as there is no telephone route to them. This is despite an assurance made in May that it would be possible to speak to them "shortly". 4 months on..............

Mark - please contact our dedicated Closure Team by email at ivaclosures@uk.gt.com who will be able to provide an update on your Notice of Completion.

Kind Regards
Karol

That's just it though Karol, will they? There seems to be more and more posters who are complaining that there is little to no communication from the closure team. At best they get a generic letter, at worse nothing. Although I have 2 plus years until my final payment I am filled with dread about the closure procedure, which in my mind is in melt down.

Totally agree with you merlin i never dreamed of having these issues when i have followed my iva to the letter and had my ppi paid in as well, i dont care what anybody says it doesnt take 15 mnths to close a case. I started with debt matters and was passed to grant thornton without any say in the matter and there just seems to be too many issues with their cases.

Hi Karol,
I emailed as per your suggestion on the 9th of september to the closures team, up to this point i have had no contact or acknowledgement of my email.
This seems to be very poor customer service with no other means of contact with Grant Thornton , How much longer can this possibly take i even posted forum in the subject.
I would be very grateful if you could look into my case and try to resolve this farce please
