Have they written to you to explain why they have not sent you your Certificate of Completion?

Hi Bazza,

Did you have a PPI claim? This is what seems to be holding things up at the moment.

There may be good reasons for the delay in sending the closure paperwork, however your IP should explain what these are and thus manage your expectations. GT now have a dedicated closures team who should be able to assist.

Bazza5070 and Julie68 - Grant Thornton now have a dedicated closure team, please email the team at ivaclosures@uk.gt.com for up to date progress on your Notice of Completion.

Kind Regards
Karol

I had all my F&F agreed in December 2011 with GT, guess what, yep, I'm still waiting for my closure papers, I've been told the PPI claim will make no difference, mine apparently is to do with a former IP, B&E, being paid too much and GT have to claim it back, it's just one excuse after another, I've written to the closure team who tell, probably everybody, to be patient. I would find it difficult to recommend GT to any one. I also asked for my email to be forwarded to Karol, again, still waiting for a response from her to the very slow closure department. Ah well, what you've never had you never miss!!!

But it is not GT's fault that their predecessor's charged too much in terms of fees - they are just having to sort the mess out, and it seems you are one of many who are affected by this. If a firm has been paid too much, this should not take too long to resolve if it is undisputed - and I think it a great shame that your case cannot be closed due to these ongoing issues.

I appreciate what your saying but it is GT's fault that they've taken so long to ask for it, to be honest they are fast running out of excuses for not sending out CC's. At the rate they work they could run for government!!
