i recieved my first refund today, and it stated that they will be off-setting it against the debt on the account, which is no problem, but do i need to inform payplan to let them know this or will they be told by the creditor that an amount is being paid to a certain account??

Hi, I would probably tell payplan but I would anticipate they would recognise this...best to let them know though

will be e-mailing my case officer over the weekend to inform them, and will even send a copy of the letter.. i just really wanted to know whether a payment made directly from a creditor to a account from a ppi refund will show up, and show as a payment into my iva?

It should reduce the balance due to that creditor if it's offset I would have thought. One of our experts will clarify.

thanks for your replies, am just worried that the creditor says they are going to off-set it against the debt on the account, i just want to to know if it gets reconised straight away by all who needs to know, and not forgotton about or not paid in the pot!!
