Hi please can you advise once a full and final settlement is agreed and paid across how long does it take to finalise the IVA and receive a completion statement? There is a CCJ on my credit file dated the month before the IVA started, does this still come under the full and final and will be finished?

Hi,

It varies from company to company so could take some time. Was the CCJ included in your IVA?

Yes the CCJ was with MBNA and was included in the IVA

The certificate should follow swiftly although the IP must allow 28 days from the date of the variation meeting before the file can be closed.

It may depend on how your IP interprets a full and final settlement. In our opinion once agreed as 'full and final' then PPI,VAT etc are irrelevant and the file can be shut down. Your own IP may hold a different view which could explain the delay.
