Hi All
My 6 years is up next week and will be looking at starting the repair of my credit file. I just have 2 questions
1) Do I need my completion certificate to send to the credit agencies?
2) will the iva/bankruptcy entry on the credit files be automatically removed?
Many thanks

Hi, it's a good idea to send the credit reference agencies a copy of your completion certificate so they can mark it as satisfied.
It will disappear after he 6 years provided there are no late defaults recorded after the IVA started. If this is the case you will need to send a copy to said creditor/s too and ask them to remove the defaults.

Well done for getting to this stage you are almost debt free and starting a new chapter in your life.
Await your certificate and then send a copy to the agencies asking them to amend your accounts. I would also look at the default dates under creditor and ensure they are before the start date of your IVA - any that are post IVA start date then write to them asking them to amend them - you may need to send a copy of your completion certificate.

Hi andi and well done from me too, there is a thread right at the top of the topics page which will help you in relation to clearing up your files etc, i would've thought you will definately need that certificate to enable you to do this. Good luck and best wishes for your now debt free future. x
