I'm so happy - keep checking the letter again and again to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Out of the blue my certificate of completion dated yesterday arrived in today’s post.

I've never claimed PPI, wouldn't agree to a bank charge reclaim and as far as I can see the VAT issue is still outstanding.

But guess that's it all over then - no mention of further claims required and confirmation that they now cease to act on my behalf.

I've had the biggest grin all day - I know I'm unemployed and things are a huge struggle but this is such a relief. I can't believe it's finally over.

I've dipped in and out of the forum over the years - particularly when I just didn't know which way to turn and I do honestly think what's said on here does make a difference. Both to the members and the IP's who read it to get a feel for what's going on.

I think one of the forums biggest pluses is that it allows people to air both sides of issues - good and bad. We can't be happy all of the time.

I know that we all feel guilty, angry, trapped and vulnerable at times during the IVA but we should remind ourselves when it does end successfully it leaves you in a much better position than when you started.

No matter how hard I'm knocked down - I'll admit I've been at my wits end and cried when creditors were hounding me pre IVA, when I felt the IVA period would never end and when I was made redundant - I know I'll get through it and come back fighting.

I really wanted to post to say to everybody waiting to complete it will happen and keep in contact with your closure team, it's worth being nice but firm it really pays off.

I'll look forward to having my name removed from the Insolvency Register and the best advice re: credit files - like my old mother would say ' don't pick at it as it'll fall off of its own accord. If you pick it you'll only make it worse'. Wait and see what happens after a full 6 years from the IVA acceptance date before doing anything.

The days of easy credit are well and truly over - thank goodness - even a squeaky clean credit record is no guarantee of success these days.

To be honest when I see someone with a wallet full of credit cards I cringe and remember those awful debt collection phonecalls.

Remember folks never let the *******s grind you down.

Brilliant news...well done and enjoy the debt freedom. I am sure for the next few months it will feel very strange and if like me you will be too scared to go outside the budget !

Lucky for you - when was it that they started moving, I see you made your last payment back in February, was it?

Having waited since November 2011 for GT, should I get hopeful?

Wow - just checked and I'm off the Insolvency Register - seems somebody up there likes me after all.
GT sure can move when they want to.
Perhaps I imagined it all - it all feels weird.

I suppose I can live in hope... but I've been told to wait three weeks for an 'update' so i won't hold my breath.
