Hi all, new to this forum and wish I had known about it before, fab advice and support here. I have 2 IVA payments left through Freemann Jones. Does anyone know how long it is before I receive my completion certificate?

Hello and welcome. There is usually a peiod of up to 6 months administrtation built in to the IVA before the certificate arrives. However, with all the changes and problems coming onto the scene at the moment (PPI, VAT etc) some companies are taking much longer, whilst others are still managing to issue certificates within weeks.
I am afraid that the best person to give an estimate is your own company.

Well done 123nearlyfree, you're almost there! As the others say feel free to stay around on the forum even after your IVA is complete as you will be able to help other just setting out and still be able to get the support from everyone yourself as and when you might need it. Hope you get your completion certificate in good time.

Hi 123nearlyfree,
Firstly congratulations on getting this far into your IVA, not long to go now.
Just so you know, we will always aim to get your completion certificate to you as quickly as possible, as we appreciate what this means at the end of your IVA.
On average we’re currently able to issue completion certificates within 30 days once all lose ends have been tied up, however in some cases this can take a little longer. As other posters have mentioned things such as PPI can delay completion slightly.
When your final payment is made we’ll be in a better position to give you an approximate timeframe for your completion certificate. In some cases this may be up to 4-6 weeks, however if things are straightforward then it may be that it arrives quicker than anticipated.
I hope this helps.
Congratulations again, and all the best for a debt free future.

Congratulations on being nearly at the end, it's a great feeling when you're told you can cancel your direct debit.
Sounds like your IP is on the ball too if they can complete closure in 4-6 weeks. If only Grant Thornton were able to do that, it's been 9 months for me so far and looks like it could be another 9 months to go [:(]

IVANotoverYet I agree with that. I sounds like Freeman Jones are really good.
Come on GT.

I hope GT read this and then maybe they can explain to there customers why they are so different in terms of timescale and lack of updates. Shocking, I have given them praise in the past but I am disgusted.

I too have praised GT in the past but this situation is not good at all.
I see Karol at GT has responded to one post this morning so she must have read all the others. Hopefully she is going to respond to these as well.
Karol?

Seems (whether Karol or not I don't know) they may have chosen only to respond to the easy ones.
