well im off to court for the bankruptcy on august the 1st paperwork all ready a bit scared really but hopefully all will be ok on the day,should i go casual or suit and tie,im in a suit and tie for my job everyday so thats usual for me,any advice on wether to keep my mouth shut or blurt it all out,how did your BR go ? regards terry

Hi Terry, Good luck for the 1st August. Skippy/Julie I know have experience of bankruptcy and will be able to give you advice.

Suit always gives a nice impression but I'm sure smart and casual would suffice too.

Good luck from me as well. I agree that a suit makes a good impression but the chances are that you won't even see the judge.

If you look at the top of the page IVA Blogs tab, click on there and register and write your first instalment of your journey to debt freedom.

You can add to it as you see fit and as an added bonus a blog of the fortnight/month is chosen and receives £25 in vouchers from Andy Davie...

Hello terry we went smart. But casual. Hubby had trousers and shirt but no tie I changed 20 times :) they are all friendly in there. He/she just asked us what happened and is it what we really want.( Idividually )you will be ok. Good luck. Go in what makes you comfy

You'll probably find that you sit outside the court and the paperwork is taken in to be rubber stamped.

and im £700 lighter although thats a trade off for the £40,000 i owe,hopefully in 12 months i will be free to start my life again,at the end of the day its my debt and i made it
