Hi Ive paid my last payment today and have been told Im looking at 6 months for completion of my iva. Is this about right? I just want to be free but feel like its going to be hanging over me going into the new year now !

Congratulations on making that last payment. It is correct though that you will probably have to wait at least 6 months for the letter. Some people are waiting even longer than that.

A six month admin period is generally written into most proposals. Some IP's take the full six months ( some longer, as Niobe says), but some only take a couple of weeks. Depends which IP you have.
However ...CONGRATULATIONS on that last payment. Well Done

thanks. Im just worried that until that certificate is in my hand , that my IP can still ask for me to pay over more money!

Well done Becky! If you have paid your final payment then you are not required to make any further payments. Hopefully your completeion should be finalised sooner than 6 months - push your IP to see why it will take so long.

Hi Tina I have paid last payment they have said they need to do a final review. Im just worried theyre going to ask me to contribute more. Im hoping it doesnt take 6 months its just thats the timeframe I was told in an email. Im a bit annoyed really as nobody at GT has told me what happens now , I emailed them earlier and got an answer. Maybe Im being unrealistic expecting some kind of paperwork to tell me whats happening , but I fear unless I had contacted GT today by email , I wouldnt have heard from them at all!!!

I know how you feel, the wait was crushing. I think IP firms can be a bit clueless as to the mental state it leaves you in. Although when your NOC drops through your door, what a let down (you'll see what I mean when it appears through your letter box) No fanfayre no hand shake out of the envolope..
Still not much changes until month 72 when it drops off your credit record, then you really free, so one, three or six months (err just a tadge to long) In scheme of things, it's the long game, pain though it is.
Still pat on back all the same!
