Hi there,

I have posted this question in another online forum, but have only had one reply so was hoping to get some more specialised advice over here, please?

I completed my IVA last year and now all defaults etc have dropped off my credit reports (YAY!). But despite this I have recently received a letter from Rockwell Debt Collection Agency regarding a debt that was definitely included in my IVA. They know the account number but there is no mention of the IVA in their letter to me. It's the standard 'pay within 10 days or all hell will be unleashed unto you' debt collector letter.

Now do I;

a) Ignore?
b) Send them my completion certificate and other IVA docs? (which does not include a list of creditors btw)
c) something else?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

p.s. have checked Noddle and Experian - no sign of this debt anywhere

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Write back to them and tell them that your IVA is now complete and they were included in this and to desist from sending you default letters you owe them nothing.

You can enclose a copy of your completion letter and see if that does any good.

Write back to their credit controller, enclose a copy of your CC. Tell them in the letter that they have 28 days to remove all information from their systems with regard to this debt, emphasise that any further correspondence requesting payment will be met with legal action for harassment and you will seek compensation via the FSA and the courts.

Hi, I take great delight in caling and saying it is on my iva which has now completed and give he reference and court number. They tend to go away then.
