Hi All
I have around 6 payments and some arrears to complete my IVA I had a payment break holiday that was agreed with Grant Thornton to move house and buy sofas etc. We had to move as we were living with my dad but he turned realy nasty and was violent to me and my girlfriend so we had to move away from the area closer to her mum and dad as she was scared of him comng round. However this meant we had to move further away from work due to him making threats. We have a 19 month old daughter and she was our main concern and my partner gave up work to look after her. However my payments are due to start again and after the move and everything I still dont have enough money to manage my iva payments due to extra costs more fuel to get to work and bills etc. After a discussion with my partner she has managed to get 3 days of work back at her job but to do this I will need to fund her expenses for a month till payday and we are going to have to put our daughter into a nursery but to get her into the nursery I am going to have to find the money to secure her place and a £150 fee as well as the days my daughter will be in the nursery so cant meet the IVA payments that are due to start this month. After this month and once my partner starts to get paid again we have worked out we can manage the IVA payments and pay extra to clear the arrears over the months. Do you think this will be acceptable? I know I need to speak to Grant Thronton but just wanted to see if you think we are being fair to my creditors to maybe just ask for an extra month of missed payments? Any comments welcome thank you
