My IVA has been accecpted today...

I phoned a payday loan company called Toothfairy, After receiving an email saying that they was going to pass my file on to an debt recovery agent.

I explained that my IVA had been accecpted this morning, But because I took out the loan at the same time as I first contacted Debt Free Direct for advice they said that I had no intention of paying the loan back and the will now pass it on to a fraud agent??

Can anyone tell me where I stand, Debt Free Direct have assured me that the IVA still stands and Toothfairy are legally bound by it...

Let them try and in the meantime tell them to deal only with your IP. Taking advice does not mean you are obliged to proceed and they really have very little chance of success.

Tell them that if they contact you again you will be making a formal complaint against them which should be enough for them to back off.

If Toothfairy are included as a creditor within the IVA surely they should be bound by the terms now?
I think a lot of these companies try to scare people into paying!!

To be honest the person you spoke to didn't even know what an IVA was !!
If they persist ask your IP to politely remind them that harrassment of a debtor protected bvy an IVA is illegal.

Those Payday loan companies will try anything and have recently been warned by the Office of fair trading over the debt collection antics!

One of them used to treaten to report debtors to the police if they didnt pay..... dont worry about it and if they contact you again tell them you will report them to the OFT. That should shut them up

I hope they back off very soon, you're protected within the IVA and if you do get harrassment do let your IP know and hopefully they'll deal with it accordingly. x

They can throw a tantrum all they like; they'll be paid via the iva. You are fully protected now so don't let them ruin your big day...

I agree with Broke don't let them spoil the happy feeling you have you are now protected by your IVA and they can make all the threats they want there is nothing they can do not keep smiling it is a great day for you[:)]

They are desperate to get you to make a payment,dont pay them a penny,and dont worry about the idle threats they make. Relax in the knowledge that you are protected from creditor action by the IVA!!
