I waiting for my IVA meeting which is on the 27th June, I ended up having around 7 payday loans of all different amounts from £350 up to £2100, Just reading another post about a payday loan that they would start a CCJ against someone...

Has anyone had any dealings with Payday loans while waiting for an IVA meeting or when an IVA is in place, Do they normally get nasty when they call.

Hi

Once your IVA is accepted they will not contact you.

Payday loan companies don't always bother to vote in an IVA so you may only need a few to say yes

Good Luck

You'll be fine Neil.

Just remember that you are doing your best and if any of your creditors getg a bit pushy then just put the phone down.

Should have been around 5 payments to payday loans companys today, But due to changing bank accounts they will not recive any payments as they have my old debit card details.

Already had Payday Express call I advised them that they should have had paperwork from DFD, But didn't seem to have any idea of what I was taking about.

Dont worry Neil - they will not be able to get a CCJ before the 27th unless they have already started the proceedings against you.

Good luck for the 27th :-)

The call centres won't have a clue Neil - they're just the monkeys, not the organ grinder.

I agree with Harpic, it amazed me how many of these people in call centres hadn`t a clue what an IVA is.

You'd be surprised how few call centre staff are aware of ivas, let alone understand what they are. The payday loan companies will all be bound by the iva so just ignore them. Good luck X a

The call centre staff will work for minimum wage plus commission. They also have a script to work to.

There was a programme on Channel 4 a couple of years ago about debt collector call centres and it was a real eye opener.

Hi Neil, I think you were relating to my post. We had not really had any demanding calls from payday loan companies prior to our IVA. We told them our ref number and told them to contact payplan. They were all reasonable. Now Quidmarket are claiming that they are not aware were in IVA and said they were going to apply for a CCJ in two weeks unless payment made blah blah. Spoke to Payplan who said that they will probably not know about our IVA yet as it takes 6 weeks to filter the info out to everyone. Not one of our Payday loan companies bothered to vote at all, but now were in an IVA were protected so they cannot do anything, and if they did it would be a waste of their time and costs. I can tell you which ones me and partner had if that helps? :-)

Don't forget that the call centres (and these will the ones threatening you) have no idea what is going on and are just following a script. They cannot threaten anyone with a CCJ.
