Hi and welcome to the forum. Most basic accounts have a direct debit facility, some even have a debit card. You will need to shop around and do some comparrisons. You will also need to be sure that the bank you choose are not one of your creditors, and that they are IVA friendly. I am sure someone will be able to advise you of a few to try.

I've just opened a basic account with Natwest, With this account you can have direct debits and you also get a debit card.

I don't think there are any accounts that don't have a DD facility these days.

Which bank are you either with or looking at? The Co-op come recommended.

Natwest have an account called the cash account that does not allow direct debits, the cooperative bank will remove the facility if you break there three strike rule and card one banking, although not a bank but an API also dont offer direct debits. So there are still some non-direct debit accounts still out there

I would recommend the Co-op Cashminder as well. Direct Debits,Standing Orders and Transfers. You can pay money in at the Post office or Bank Branches and there is a 24hr Call Centre.

I would recommend the Co-op Cashminder. I used the account while I was BR and I was very happy with the Co-op - one of the best parts is they have UK call centres!
