i have a 5 year fixed mortgage but what my big concern is when it comes to an end i will struggle to get a remortgage i am currently at 80per cent LTV,is it possible to stay with my current lender and drop on to the standard variable rate in 5 years time or would the nat west try and get rid me, please help has i have 30k of debt and things are very hard with 3 young kids and a wife to support..? any help please

Hi Bradley, I don't think you would be able to remortgage but you should be able to go onto your lenders SVR with no issues

Bradley - welcome to the forum

Usually after the end of a fixed rate the mortgage will revert to SVR (at the moment this is slightly lower) however the interest rate is gradually increasing, As long as you continue your contractual payments and mortgage obligation there should not be an issue

How much longer have you on fixed rate ??
