We have now passed the 6 year mark and everything has dropped off the credit files apart from one entry on Experian.
A debt with Lloyds TSB has dropped off both Equifax and Call Credit is still on Experian showing as a satisfied on account in July 06 but with 3 late payments for May, June & April. There is no default stated just late payments.
The same loan on Equifax and Call credit files had shown as a defaulted account and dropped off last week as it should have done.
My question is can I ask Lloyds TSB to change the status of that entry on Experian? Should late payments be removed in the same manner as defaults or have Lloyds just reported the entry incorrectly to Experian as it should have shown a default?

I would ask them to change it to a default so it will drop off.

We are going to have to write to them now. Just checked our credit files today and low and behold all LLoyds TSB accounts have come up as defaults again. We had written to them in January and all dates apart from the late payments had been changed to our IVA date. Roll on May and everything dropped off apart from the late payments but today as if by magic everything has reappeared with default dates of July. I wish we had just gone bankrupt in the beginning I am sick of the endless problems and frankly my husband cannot handle the stress.

Ohhh dear I have had a look at my record post IVA and I'd thought what a mess, nev mind I'll wait till six years and it will all drop off.
I expect that as thousands come out of IVA's the cedit agencies are not equiped to deal with it. There's a revenue stream to the view your credit file, but none to change it

We've got several still defaulting us - as soon as we have completed then then the letter will be sent straight off to those creditors.
Not likely to need to credit again but I just want to see a clear record!

We'd sent all the letters, everything was updated - all the credit files had dropped off. Lloyds TSB re defaulted on different dates after the IVA even though they had already updated their files and changed to the correct dates once. It's shameful.

Threaten them again - you can take this further if they don't remove the defaults back to the IVA start date.

Threatened them via letter again today - just extremely irritating to get everything cleaned up and be back to square one again. We need to find somewhere to live in the next couple of weeks and this is really going to help us.

Late payments remain on your credit file for 6 years. There should not really be any late payments though as the agreements would come under a IVA so effectively you would have defaulted on the account.
Of cause if the account was not included in the IVA and subsequently you made a late payment then this just accurately reflects that there has been a late payment. I suspect this not to be the case though.
I'd contact Lloyds and explain the account is in default as you entered the IVA and this the account should be shown as defaulted with a default date equal to the IVA date. If that was 6 years ago then the record should be deleted.
Just my view on late payments, may not necessarily be the same view of the bank though. I do agree though it is annoying having sorted it out for them to drag it all up again.
