I recently had a letter from GT about claiming back PPI on our behalf, which we disregarded, we had missed a payment the previous month so I called made the payment and confirmed DD details.
Since the letter GT has not taken another payment from our account.
Is this because they are claiming back the PPI anyway and this is to pay our IVA or is their cock-up and should I be worried as I have not cancelled the payment so if I am right I am not in breach i think

I personally would contact them and see that this is put right immediately. Claiming PPI should not impact on your monthly payments - if there is a refund to be had this will form part of an extra return to creditors and your continued monthly payments will be required until such time as you have paid back 100% of your original debt, plus IP fees.

Pick up the phone and ask them to check it out for you.

Hi Andrew - contact GT right away - even if the fault is theirs in not claiming the DD's you could still be held to be in breach -- ultimately it is your IVA and your responsibility to make the payments. You have noted that the payments have not been claimed, so you need to sort it out, I am afraid.

Good morning Andrew G,

Thank you for your post above.

As per the advice given above, please contact us on 0844 855 2329 and our IVA Support Team will resolve the matter for you. Alternatively, if you email us at ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com (please put "IVA Forum" in the subject line), we can arrange for someone to give you a call.

The PPI issue has no bearing on the monthly contributions and so we will need to speak to you to understand why the payment has not been taken from your account.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
Grant Thornton
