Your iva is still current until you get that letter so you're still on the register unfortunately

Your Credit report will be shot until six years is up from the start of your IVA.

Hi Rich - you will be on the insolvency register until the completion certificate confirms the debts are satisifed so technically you are insolvent yes however you no longer have debts you are servicing on a monthly basis with money you cannot afford so on a practical basis you are no longer insolvent. It all comes down to what is registered though so until your name comes off the register you will be classed as insolvent. Once that is off, although the IVA will be on your credit reports you will not be classed as insolvent anymore.
Hope you get your completion certificate soon so you can close the chapter and move on. Best wishes.

yes, you stay on the insolvency register until your ip issues your completion certificate and takes you off it, and as we are finding out first hand, getting the copletion certificate isnt as easy as its made out to be, we had f&f accepted on the 1st of april, and are being delayed due to investigating ppi claims, although we know there isnt such a claim to answer!

As Mr Bluesky has so well put it, no one will lend you a pencil! I checked my credit file, sure it's says completed but it's still there and I have the perfect score on my current account. I won't waste my time untill six years is up. I think you can measure your credit worthiness by the amount of junk mail you get and I get none 8 post completion, not that I'm complaining.
I get by with my debit card and you can always get a prepaid. I do wonder those that have completed get another credit card and have they got trapped In fact has the forum seen post of someone that's had a second IVA?

Hi Spong
I did not say that I wanted to apply for credit, far from it, it was just a question

Oh v.sorry if it came across as sort of chastise. It was more a answer question to myself as I wrote it down!
I wonder if there are second time around IVA posters, what a story that must be? Or maybe third time, a sort of life style choice!
