I am coming to the end of my IVA (April) but have now been told that it may be extended because they want to pursue a PPI claim at the request of the creditors. They have said if i do not agree it could be said that i am not complying and in breach of my agreement. Can my PPI be extended?

Elizabeth - Is there money from a PPI due ? - they may keep the IVA open until the PPi is paid over. You do need to check to make sure they confirm your last monthly payment when time comes - then cancel the So - and await any PPI award

You shouldnt need to make any more payments(after the date you should have finished) but it is pretty standard for an IVA firm to keep the iva open while chasing these ppi reclaims.

What they should not be doing is threatening you with a breach notice if you dont comply. Did you take ppi you didnt want or need? Remember that they can only pursue a claim if it was mis-sold so if you tell them you had ppi but wanted it they cannot make a claim(this would be fraud),nor can they force you to lie just so they can reclaim ppi.

Do you accept that you were mis-sold the PPI policy(ies) being referred to? Which firm are you with?

Did you ever take out PPI at all? If not then you need to tell VN as there won't be a claim to be made.

Elizabeth - well done for getting this far - so as Kallis has suggested if you have NOT taken PPI out - inform your IVA company (contact your IP direct /email and write letters)stating that there is NO PPI - just to prevent any further delays to closure.
