We received a letter each on Saturday thanking us for sending our payslips for the last quarter, the letter then said that I must pay an additional £28.00 and my wife must pay an additional £33.00. I have queried this and was told that I had earned an extra £56.00 in that period and my wife had earned an extra £66.00 and we had to pay half in. Our wage slips are exactly the same as the previous 3 months as neither of us has had an increase in salary. Is this right?

It doesn't sound right to me and I would go back your IP and ask them to explain why and how they have come to this fact .....

Does sound strange if your pay hasn't altered. I would query it again and ask them to check your previous payslps and explain to you where this extra has come from.

Thanks folks, I have checked last quarters payslips again and they are exactly the same, I'll ring them again tomorrow.

Has your pay increased from the amount that you earned when you put your IVA forward? This is the figure that is often worked from. I would make sure you also inform your IP of any changes in expenditure since your last review. No doubt some expenses will have increased (as has everybodies) and you will want this taking into account if there is to be an increase.

Hi all, I spoke to my IP company regarding this, they said they would look into it and get back to me later in the afternoon, I waited a full week and heard nothing, I contacted them again and this time spoke to my [new] case officer (my 4th in under 3 years)I went through everything with her and she said she would review my wage slips and conatct me with the outcome, this was over a week ago and I haven't heard anything.
How often do you mither your IP before you get a response?

Just keep phoning until you get a reply.

Still too many IP's acting Godlike and not allowing mere clients to speak to them directly!!
Keep phoning until you get things sorted.

I think that you are being responsible and are obviously bothered that you haven't heard anything so would simply say, keep contacting/phoning/emailing them until you receive a satisfactory result.
