I have a loan which is not included in my IVA. Does anyone know if I can make a claim for the PPI on it. If I am owed money surely I can claim for it even if some of it will get paid into the IVA?
Thanks xx

Hi there,
Unfortunately all of the money reclaimed is payable into the IVA. The only way that you can keep any is if your PPI claim pays off your IVA in full (i.e. 100% is repaid to creditors + the IVA costs).
The loan that this PPI is against, is this secured? If not it should really be included in your arrangement.

You could always make the claim knowing that your creditors will gain if the ppi was missold.

Hi thanks for that, yes Gareth it is a secured loan which is not included in the iva. I did think that paul but they told me cause of the iva it would end up costing me money as the money would go to the iva then I would have to pay any fees due myself!!!

I am sure plenty of firms would act for you to reclaim the ppi, just make sure they know about the iva and get any fees put in writing. The other option is to wait until the iva is finished, but I dont know how long this reclaiming ppi will go on for.
