Has anyone used this company for a car loan. Just read a review on their site that read
"IVA just finished and accepted straight away"
We are desperate to change our car(s) but don't think we will get a bank loan. Now our IVA is complete, I am confident we can afford a car loan, as we are £900 per month better off, than what we were in our IVA, but of course I am extremely wary of taking out a loan with just anybody.
Has anyone completed their IVA and had experience in this area.

I think I would check the company out thoroughly before going with them.
Moneybarn is another one to try out.

Absoulute Kallis, hence the post on this forum. All their reviews seem really positive, but my cynical (sp) mind tells me that these could have been fabricated for the purpose of enticing people (sorry if this sounds harsh, but I wouldn't put anything past some people). Moneybarn is one of their lenders, so I guess they are just brokers who search the market for the best deals for people with a poor credit history. Hope someone else has had some experience so will wait if see if anyone else replies too.
Thanks.

Julie has had a car via Moneybarn (when they were Dunctons) as has Andy Davie.

My only problem with moneybarn (dunctons) was that I thought you had to lease the car, which I don't want to do. I want to buy one. Will go and check out their website.

I think it is a lease but not sure.
I suppose that at least you do get a set of wheels for a while and you are guaranteed whilst in an IVA.

my brother went with a company like car loans
for a £4,000 car the total was £12,000 after they add on 27% and ppi.
lucky when his wife had to stop working owning to ill heath, he had paid enouth to return the car.
but by then he had paid over£6,000 and had no car.

Hi
I would give them a try and as long as you do not have to pay an upfront payment you have little to use.
Only you know if the loan is affordable and you are also aware that you are not going to get High St rates.
Try to buy the car under a HP agreement as you will have certain rights that you may be grateful of a few years down the line..
Good luck
Carloan4u welcome to the forum, please note that you are not allowed to leave any contact details in your posting or solicit for business

Hi David
Happy for you to list the benefits of your company, many people reading and using this forum are trapped by the fact that they are unable to finance a car even though it is affordable to them

Thanks Andy. For the time being I will just monitor and make sure that people can make their own minds up.
If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask. (If that is ok with the forum?)
Thanks
David

I agree with Andy, if you can afford the payments it's worth applying. We used moneybarn ( dunctons) as we were desperate fir a reliable car. We were led to believe maintenace was coveted under the high payments, but alas they are not. So please be careful if you do consider leasing a car. Personally, we wouldn't but would consider finance for a car in the future.
Good luck and please post an update x

Hi Kaykay,
We used carloans4u last year! Yes they are a broker for the likes of Moneybarn (Duncton's) whom we ended up going with. I rang Duncton's at the time and they suggested going through these as they do most the leg work. Everything went through very quickly with them. You can get a car on lease or HP. I had to speak to my IP as I am still in IVA and they were happy as long as we could afford it without affecting the IVA payments.
Good Luck on your purchase!

Thank you all for your responses. Carloan4u, if I request admin to pass on my phone number or e-mail address, could you ask one of your advisers to contact me please. Feel I would prefer to chat this through, rather than go online.
