Hi All,
I'm trying to get my credit file updated as I still has 2 dates wrong (both from Natwest)
I was wondering if anyone has contact details for Natwest? I have 1 for Telford (current ) & 1 for Glasgow (loan)
I've now written twice to them & still now joy with them updating my file!
Would it be easier to ring? any advice on this matter would be great as I started my IVA in Jan 2006 & they are due to come of my credit file this Jan
Thanks
Paul

Sorry Breezerboy, I have not got anything as I have never used Natwest myself, but I know a lot of people on here have so I am sure someone will be along very soon with the information you need. Good luck.

You need to send it to the data controller, I don't have the details to hand but I'm sure one of the other posters will help.
I'm posting from my phone so it's not easy to find things out.

If you google Information Commissioner you will find a section on the site whete you can search for the details of the data controllers.

I tried the data controller route. Not even a reply! eventually sorted it by registering a complaint on there web page. Got a written response saying they aim to sort it within 10 days. Let's see what happens.

Hi Breezeboy
Check your experian credit file, they have addresses of creditors, which should include Natwest.
I had to contact them about removing defaults on my file but be warned, they are appalling in communication and will take them a long time to respond.
Good luck

Unfortunately you have to go contact the data controller before the ICO will consider the complaint.
Make sure it's actually the data controller you contact - this isn't necessarily the same address as what's on statements or the company's website. If in doubt give customer services a call and they will give you the address.

Natwest are known for not being helpful at this stage and it took several phone calls, letters and emails to have our default dates changed at the end of our IVA - persevere !
Experian also contacted them on my behalf as they could see it was not being changed !

I have had some sort of result - Both Natwest have Satisfied against them now, however the default dates are still wrong - they are only 2 months out! would you just leave it now or keep trying to get it changed?

Personally if it is two months out I would now leave it ... The fact they have amended it to satisfied etc I would just go with it and enjoy debt freedom !

I agree with luluj, I'd let it lie now if they're going to drop off soon. By the time you've contacted them and they've sorted it the time may well be up anyway.
