Hi
I sent my payslips to Payplan on 25th August, I have only just heard from them and they have requested that I make an additional payment of £58. Although I did receive a small pay rise in April they were already aware of this from my last payslips when they said no addtional payments were required. Last year I was allowed to keep my payrise until my review and I did recieve more as my hours increased. So I am confused I just wish they had told me sooner.
I have emailed my case officer, who keeps changing! It is very differcult for me to reach them on the phone as my working hours are the same as theirs and I cannot speak privately in the office.
Oh well thats my weekend ruined!

Strange, I wonder why they have requested this now? I've always been allowed to keep my payrises until the annual review. I wonder if they've changed the rules?
I've been lucky in that I've had the same officer now for about 18 months - I suppose now I've said that it will be a different one next time!!!

I have heard this from a couple of Payplan customers, Jan. Maybe they have a "new broom" in the office!

I'm also with payplan and have informed them that I've had a £25 a week payrise in may and been told that they will do nothing till my review in dec, I've sent pay slips in and not had to hand anything over.

Perhaps they have - I did my quarterly review last month and nothing changed with my payments.
Won't be getting a payrise this year so it's academic for me!!

I suggest you ask them to communicate via email. I send my case officer a secure message on payplanplus & she always replies by email. In fact so does the compliance department & safeguard as there insurance sales. Ask them to provide a written reason for request! If you weren't paid any overtime or bonus then if it's not review time I do wonder why they have asked for the money!

Thanks for your replies, it is interesting to hear that a couple of other people had this to. Like everybody else I have always kept my payrises until annual review. I do wonder if there is a new broom as the letter was not as friendly as normal. Addressed to sir or madam instead of my first name. and quite abrupt.
I know I am lucky to get a pay rise. I have a new role so I am getting some increments at the moment but my pay was quite low to start with! I just wish payplan had told me when I first sent my payslips it would not have been so unexpected and painful. It not a lot of money I know, except when you are in an IVA!
I have emailed the case officer so I will let you know the outcome

You are lucky to keep the same case officer Jan mine changes every quarter.
My payrise was only £40 per month, strange thing is they have said nothing about my monthly payment.
It does help to share things on this forum. I feel better about it now, then I did on Friday when I got home.

I would imagine you have possibly got someone who has confused the increase with a bonus or overtime payment. I would email or ring to ask them to confirm why it is not being treated from the next review like previous times.

Hi Everyone
Have had a reply from payplan and unfortunately I still have to pay.
It says " In previous payslip reviews we have been very lenient with additional income requests but the Creditors have noted that 50% of all additional income should be requested regardless of whether it is written on payslips as overtime or bonus. All payslip reviews will now be carried out this way"

I await my next review with interest - not had that before.
Does your paperwork state 10% plus 50/50 or just a straight 50/50?
