if you have any debt with your current bank then you should have been advised to move banks.if not then you can set up a standing order with them no problem as its got nothing to do with them about your iva. who is your iva company?
i think you should have been advised this before you got this far.

It's a bit of a palaver ... but if you are keeping your current bank account ( they are not one of your creditors or HSBC /First Direct) and don't want a link to your IVA comapny, you could open a co-op cashminder account and pay the IVA payment from your current account to that one, then set up the standing order from co-op to IVA comapny. That way all your bank sees is you putting cash into another account.

However, this is a long winded way of doing things and you have to keep an eye on the relavent dates to make sure no payment is missed and you go overdrawn (BIG no no.)

If your comapny isn't an obvious one ( like Payplan or CCSVA) the bank probably wouldn't even notice.

I bank with Nationwide and my IVA is with Payplan - the standing orders are just payable to RBS, so the bank is non the wiser.

HSBC and First Direct are the only ones to avoid.

Strange that - I'm with Payplan and mine just goes to an RBS account with no mention of anything else.

Well done Pandy on getting IVA approval. If you owe your bank Natwest money you should have been advised to change to another bank and set up a new account or use an account with a bank to whom you do not owe money. I hope this is the case for you.

If not and you do owe them money you need to switch your bank account as a matter of urgency I'd say and make sure anything you get paid does not go into an account at a bank to whom you owe anything.Let us know how you get on
best wishes
