hi i`m currently on an iva and wondered could i claim back on the ppi ? would that pay off some of my debt or would that just give more back to the creditors ?

It would go back to your creditors or the creditor from whom you claimed would possibly keep it for their debt. x

Agree with Lesley. It will either go back to your IVA or to your original creditor.

Either way, your creditors will be getting a much better dividend.

What if you recieve ppi money before iva has started can you keep the money ? So much needs doing to the house knowing our luck we won't get anything anyway !

I suppose so but it takes ages in most cases. Mine has been with the ombudsman for 18 months. Kept going with it due the principle involved - but I know in the end it will just improve the dividend to other creditors. If it wasn't with them I would have dropped it by now but they wanted to pursue the claim because of the reasons involved.
