Just seen this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14563897
Not funny when you may find yourself somewhere unfamilar and you have to go round trying to find a bank machine that might work.
I know Natwest and Step accounts are widely suggested as IVA friendly on the forum but for someone with access to limited cash machines this could be a huge inconvenience ans also mean the accounts will be of no use to them.

Not good I'm with Natwest. Makes you wonder if it's the beginning to the end of free banking.

Sorry if I should know this, but is Nat West part of RBS?

Arrr... ok, I have a STEP account where my salary goes into and my bills go out of, but I transfer the rest of my allowances into my Nat West savings account and I use that to withdraw cash. Do you think the savings account with cashcard will be subject to the same withdrawal restrictions? [:0]

I'm not sure to be fair, but I'm in the same boat as you with the same accounts. Time will tell I guess.

We are with Nat West but most of the atm's around here are RBS, Tesco or Morrisons so hopefully won't be affected too much. Shame though because its just another thing that makes you feel "different" or awkward because of being in an IVA and having to have a basic account x

I'm assuming that we can still obtain cash from the Branches of Nat West!

The article mentions only RBS not Natwest so I'd take it that if you have a Natwest card you will be ok. It's like Halifax & lloyds they are separate brands but integrated.
