Hi, Can I just say a big thank you to Grant Thornton. Me and my partner split up a few weeks ago and it has been very difficult sorting out our finances and telling my 5 year old daughter that we are splitting up. I was really worried about our IVA, we have an interlocking one. My ex-partner has moved out and we can continue to make the payments as well as living separate, it is a little bit tight but I count my blessings every day that I am no longer getting myself in any more debt. I had a lovely and re-assuring email from GT today, they said if we were happy to keep making the payments then that was fine, if we are struggling they can look at lowering the payments and gave me some more advice which really helped. They will look at our status in April 2012 when we have our review. I am so happy that I have not got to mess about changing information etc, we can see how things go and it gives us chance to do this before our review, then if needed can alter our payments or keep them the same. I know GT have had some bad press recently but since we joined them I have found them to be very understanding and helpfull and glad I am with their firm.

A very positive post for GT Tracey. Not nice to read of your situation but with a good company looking after your IVA it's one less thing to worry about. All the best. x

Lovely to hear you're getting such good support at a difficult time. Don't forget we're here for non-iva advice and general moral support too if you need any. x
