Hi,
I finished my IVA which started in May 2005. I'm trying to get a mortgage at present.
I have saved £10,000 for a deposit.
One of my defaults is still on my credit file even after six years as the default date is wrong. How do i sort this?
Is there any brokers/Lenders that will consider me for a mortgage out there?

Hi and welcome.
Write to the creditor and tell them to remove any defaults after the date your IVA was approved. They have to do this. Send them a copy of your completion letter. The CRA won't contact the creditor without proof that this default is wrong.
However, I rather think that £10k won't be enough for a deposit these days.
You should try and contact a whole of market broker to see if they can find something for you.

Cheers for that,
Have sent a letter with my completion cert. So just a waiting game.
The credit agency company that i'm registered with say there's a long wait with the insolvency service removing my IVA from my credit file.
Does anybody know of any good whole of the market brokers I could go to?
Thanks for the reply's
