I'm awaiting my final paperwork to sign, it's with the IP at the moment being checked, is the creditors meeting instigated once they receive back my signed paperwork?

once your signed proposal is received by your IP, copies will be forwarded to your creditors along with a meeting date.

Good luck littlefi, make sure you read & understand your proposal & don't be afraid to ask questions or ring your IP if you have any concerns. Once it's all signed & sealed it won't be long till your posting about a creditors meeting.

Once the signed proposal is back with your IP it's normally about 16 days till the meeting date.

As Jan said! I've been told that most creditors like 18 days now so I am looking at a meeting in June. Probably be the longest 18 days in my life!!!!

Make sure you check the paperwork and are happy with what is in there before you sign it and send it back.
Shouldn't be long now though.

It might be a good idea to give your IP a list of dates you will be unavailable due to your business and it could be arranged around this?

hiya littlefi
once i had received and sent back my proposal, i worked aou roughly the week my meeting would be likely to happen, and emailed my company a list of my days off around that week to enable them to arrange the meeting for a date that i was already available, this worked out well for me.
maybe you could do the same.

well I have signed mine and sent it back, and had the IVA call, which was nice. now just to wait for creditors meeting dates. HSBC called today asking lots of questions about my credit card, and I was very honest, just hope that nobody takes it further until creditors meeting. just can't waiot - lets all keep each other updated!!

You can ignore the calls clee - once the signed paperwork gets back then it won't be long before you get a meeting date.

Wouldn't give my creditors the time of day now. If one of them did happen to speak to me I would just advise them to read the letter I sent them last week (I wrote to tell them I couldn't pay them anymore money and IP details)
