Well tomorrow I go away for a week to stay with Mum. Feel sorry for OH just in case someone turns up at the door. I've told him to lock the back door as we have a habit of going down the garden and leaving it open. He is going to say he's the gardener or the odd job man, or I've even suggested Lady Chatterleys lover!
He did make me laugh when he asked if he could shoot them if they tried to get in! Think he was joking but I will be checking for any newly turned over earth when I get back!
On the IVA front - it takes ages to get everything together doesn't it? I've run out of time and run out of printer ink so will have to do it when I get back next Monday.

... as long as he doesn't claim to be Lady Chatterley herself (or should that be Laydeee )?

Have a fab time kazzafunk, don't worry about OH - even if they turn up they can't do anything at all. I hope he does tell them he's the gardner! I would really laugh at that!

He will Jan! He's like that. I told him to act creepy and say I'm no longer around then to get his shovel out. Could do with a laugh - although we could end up with a call from the police! I aim to have a fab time - once Dad gets through his op then it's all gonna be up from there. I could tell you the saga but you'd never believe it, another good old story of the NHS I'm afraid!

I'm sure your dad will be fine - you don't have to tell me about the NHS - my dad has been in hospital in the last week.

In one way I hope they do call as I would have a really good laugh, but it's not good for your hubby though!

Yeah - is your Dad ok? Mine had a knee replaced 4 years ago, complained for years it wasn't right and it turns out an infection went in with the joint. So since July last year has has had a tempory plastic joint while they fight the infection. Fingers crossed now for wed!
I will tell all if anyone turns up - he won't care,I just feel very sorry for anyone who does come! He's the only one I know who had Jehovah's witnesses make their apologies and leave! (no disrespect to any Jehovas reading this - he is open to discuss any religion but think they met their match!). Got to love him.

Thank you kazzafunk, he's fine at the moment although I do think we will be doing more hospital visiting this year. He is 82 though so I can't complain. Hope your dad gets on ok.

Your hubby and mine would get on well! The last time we had any religious callers they ended up looking at their watches and backing away up the drive. They could have a great time!

Sounds like they are 2 peas in a pod! Glad he's ok - it's a worry isn't it. Mines only 68 but seems to be going through a lot of trauma. He's just looking forward to getting back to driving and doing his garden bless him.

They are a worry I agree! I hope your Dad is ok. Hate to say this but my hubby is nearly as old as your Dad!!!

I'm sure our respective partners would be brilliant together!
