Hi everyone
I have received my annual review documentation in the post in prep for April. I have 2 weeks to complete them but this year is going to be a complete nightmare. My partner is currently on maternity leave and due back to work on the 31st May. We have spoken with the tax credits people and we wont know what we will be entitled until that time. Also we can only estimate my partners income as she will be working reduced hours to what she was on before maternity. My son will also be going into childcare (cheaper than nursery) which we have been told will cost a standard £380 a month for 3 days a week!! We have already had it confirmed that we will only receive a maximum of £190 a month from the government towards this, eek!! (we've been warned that this could be lower but to check back after the 6th April when the budget changes have been implemented into the system).
First question
1) why does this b***** government not support working
couples who want to work![:(!]
2) Will it be ok to complete my I&E based on projected figures for June onwards? If I used my current figures (which include maternity payments and no child care costs then my figures will be completley out to my detriment). I predict that our family income will drop by about £100-150 a month due to these increased costs and reduced income.
The next 2 years are going to be really difficult for me and my family and Im really nervous having done well to get so far. With all the increases in the costs of living,VAT, petrol etc and now the child care cost.Added to by the fact that some whitehall proffesor has said that police officers will have no pay increase for the next 2 years includinng any increase for inflation (and enforced increased pension contributions) means that my 'real' income will just shrink as costs soar. [:(]
I haven't been on this forum for a year or so so haven't kept uptodate with posts but surely in this economic climate those of us in iva's are going to be walking a fine wire? [:(]
