If I am able to sell some personal belongings - only bits - on ebay do I also have to declare this as extra income when on an iva. Tend to clear - out a couple of times of year to e bay and charity shop.

Ebay is fine, I do it a lot and as long as it's not a business then you are ok to sell stuff on there.

Ebay is my saviour for buying and selling.

I recently purchased a pair of designer jeans for £6.50 and when I checked the pockets before washing I found a £20 note !!

You jammy mare! eBay is fine. I recycled a blackberry and got a surprising amount so that can be a good earner too xx

I hope you make some extra money and it will be all yours to keep. I keep saying this everytime I see an ebay posting that I'll have a sort out but never do and I really must. x

I've got loads of clothes to go on there - just need a free listing weekend again to get them put on.

I don't earn a lot but it does help fund my spending on there.

I agree! I don't know how we'd survive without Ebay - I only do it when its free listing so it doesn't matter then if it doesn't sell, but it's great when you get a reasonable amount - just helps with the bill that's just come in that I wasn't expecting - usually the car or hubby's van!

I am determined not to miss any of my IVA payments so this really helps if we are a bit short every now and then - which is actually often!

I spoke to my IVA company and they were fine about it. We have to do what we can to get through this - its not like a regular salary.

I sold my bedroom furniture (minus the bed) on ebay and was allowed to use the money to buy and old banger car which I desparately needed for work at the time. IP didnt have a problem with this.

Also sold alot of stuff at car boots this year which gave me some extra pocket money :-)

I have never mentioned Ebay to my IP at all. As long as you are just selling old, unwanted stuff and not running a business then you are fine.
