i need help. been on my iva for a while.this is my fifth year.( been extended for one year. at an extra 3k). my ip told me that i would be revieved every year now. so last year cos of bonuses i earned alot more. i kept money aside.they told me to keep any extra expenses to one side. my review came up. all expenditure stayed the same but they still put it up another £40. i was thinking the price of petrol has doubled in the last year? why gone up?. also said i had earned too much and i had to pay back £400. which i knew and was quite happy to do. my issue is that they said id i had incurred any extra costs to send my receits in. i have had a bill for car costs £31o. they have now said that £300 was already built in to my expenditure. i have checked this and it is not listed. with the new review which is two months late . they have sent a letter which they have asked me to sign that i agree to pay 50% of extra earnings on a monthly bases. a total change from my previous . i am happy to pay back any extra over the year. my car has alot to do to it to keep me going. i feel that if i pay any extra i have received over the month, over the year it will balance out. i feel now that the company i am with are helping themselves and not working for me. dont know where to turn. keep thinking only 19 payments to go x

You have come so far......speak with your IP tomorrow and explain. Ask them to review your allowances... Explain about the car costs, fuel etc and agree a way forward. They are there to support you as well as ensure the creditors receive a good return... You are almost at the end if your journey.... Stay positive !

Good advice from Luluj - nobody wants to see an IVA fail after so long.

give them a ring and explain your extra outlay.
your ip is not going to be able to make changes to your proposal as he/she goes along without your consent.
well done for getting this far so stick to your guns and put your case across

are you actually speaking with your IP or a member of their staff? Sometimes it's best to speak directly with your IP and hopefully you can review this I&E and move things forward for your final year. x

I do agree that it is best to speak to your IP rather than the office staff if you have a problem.

It sounds as if there has been a break down in communications here, but it is probably nothing that cannot be fixed if you arrange to speak with your IP directly.

This can often happen, and the IPs review is always open for you to challenge if you feel that you are having to pay something which is unfair, or expenditure that you can prove you incur is not being accepted.
