Full and final advice please. I will have completed 62 months soon and have another 12 months to go as had a variation in year two which extended paymnets for a year and a 2 month payment break last year to buy a car when mine packed up.Current payments are £401 and I have 12 more to go.I work in the public sector and there are severe cut backs planned and possible redundancies so I am worried about the future.Also my landlord has informed me of his intention to sell the flat I live in and I am concerned that I will have difficulty getting a new contract with a letting agency because of their need to credit check me.I do not want my IVA to fail at this late stage and have discussed my concerns with a friend who has offered to lend me £4000 to offer as a full and final settlement. Is this likely to be accepted?I have £4812 worth of payments due and will have paid another 2 payments I guess by the time it get to a creditors meeting.I have read on here that it can take 2 to 3 months for this to be set up.

I would suggest putting the offer forward to creditors(via your IP of course). Given the renting situation and the possibility of redundancy etc creditors would be crazy to turn down £4k now!!!

Sounds a great offer and the record of your IVA will be off your credit record in ten months, this will make renting a property easier.

Sounds like a great offer for the creditors as they will be getting the fill dividend bar a couple of quid so they'd be crazy to turn it down. I had to move recently and my letting agency only checked for BR and CCJs because this is cheaper than a full search. Stick to wide boys working for independents! You can always move again in a year when you'll be well clear of the iva and credit checks will come back fine.[:)]
