Hello peeps. After being in IVA for 3 years my full and final settlement was accepted 1month ago but I am still waiting for my certificate of completion. I have just (yesterday, yipee!) finally got a new job which is quite bit more than I am earning now. I start in 2 weeks - I was wondering if this will affect my early settlement, will I need to let my supervisor know and will the settlement need to be reviewed???? Thanks Richy

It can take a while for your letter to come through as more than one poster on here can vouch for!

I think you will be ok with your new job, it shouldn't affect any future employement.

One of the experts will be along to advise further.

That's good I don't want to get in to trouble for not declaring extra earnings, Im not sure exactly how much extra it will be as can't work out tax and NI but I think I may get an extra £200 per month. I'll be so happy if I dont need to hand any more over, whata relief, things are looking up

Your IVA technically came to an end when the F&F was accepted, so no you will not be obliged to pay any further money into the IVA.

It isnt unual for there to be a slight delay in issusing the certificate as the final distributions have to be made and restrictions taken from the property etc... as you have been in your IVA for 3 years i suspect all your creditors would have proven, but if for some reason they have not yet that could delay things slightly aswell.

Might be worth speaking with your IP though just to see when they expect to have it all closed.

Congrats on your double whammy of fantastic news. I've no head for numbers either but found an online tax calculator to do the hard work at taxcalculator.co.uk. Not sure if it was totally accurate as I don't start for another few weeks but it will give you an indication.
