hi...i started my IVA on 1st Aug 2004 and partially settled after 3 years, all of which still shows on my credit file. (iva and associated defaults listed seperatly)

i have been informed that the IVA will be removed from my file after 6 years, which should have been 1st aug 2010, but it still appears...My question is should it now be removed?????

second question,,,,I am concerned that even if teh iva is removed the defaults associated with the iva will still be viewed...

Do the defaults associated with the iva also get removed???

thank you for the help

You will need to send the credit agencies a copy of your certificate of completion and ask them to remove the details of your IVA.

The defaults will drop off your credit file 6 years from the date that they were issued.

If they were issued after the IVA was approved, you need to write to the creditors concerned to tell them to remove those defaults.
