I just looked on that register, and now there is a footnote saying
"Individual Voluntary Arrangements will remain visible while they are Current, and for a period of 3 months after the receipt of notice of the revocation order, full implementation or termination of the agreement"
When did this come in, when will this ever end?

Hi
I think it has always been there I'm afraid although I am pretty sure that IVAs that have completed in full are removed straight away

I don't remember reading it last time I checked the register which was sometime ago. I hope that is the case Andy, it's the bit about "full implementation" which makes me think I will have to wait another 3 months for my details to be removed on top of the time it will take for the certificate to come through.

I think Andy is right, it should be removed within three months. If it's not, you could always try contacting the Inolvency Service to query it.

Anyone know the reasoning behind the need for the notice to remain for 3 months after IVA concludes?

This is another mystery, when I completed I came off the register within days, so once again different rules for different people, I just dont get it at all. Helen your name should be off by now I would speak to your IP, sometimes being patient isnt the right thing now days im afraid.

As far as I know an IVA should come off the register as soon as it's completed and it's only BR that stays on for 3 months.

3 months after completion Helen - I'd still like an explanation why details need to be on the register so long after completion???

Hi
I agree, they make you feel like some kind of criminal.
It is about time the Insolvency Register was abolished or at the very least access restricted so that Joe Public could not look at it and bankruptcy assist firms could not abuse it.

Andy - is there a way of finding out why records remain for 3 months after completion? I'd like to hear the "justification" as in the least I believe we could challenge this.

Could we not start another petition Andy now that we have a new government in place?

Hi
I think it may be time for another petition, even if it just raises awareness

Nothing to lose Andy. I would also like to know why records are kept live for 3 months - be interesting to see the justification behind this?

For some reason our names are no longer on the register despite the fact that we were only discharged from bankruptcy last year??
