Just waiting for my proposal to come from my IP which could be a little while. In the meantime, only one of my creditors is chasing which is nice, however, they are ringing every 2 days! I speak to them when i can, so it's not like i am avoiding them, and they "update their system" everytime. I tell them i cannot make token payments and i do not have a date of the creditors meeting yet.
The worst thing is, they are ringing work all the time. Now, fortunately, i work for my father in law and i manage the company, but still, it's a real pain and very embarassing, as it's pretty obvious to the small amount of employees who answer the phone that something must be amiss because they are calling all the time.
Is there anything i can do????? They are nice when they do call, so i am not bothered much about them ringing, but calling work isn't right is it? Can i stop this?

Ask them to delete your work number from their records as it could cost you your job. Give them your mobile or home number and a time to call for an update and make sure to take their call. This usually works but not ask to speak to a supervisor.

Good advice from Michael Andy - try and make a note of any contact you have with them and reuqests you have made for them to stop etc, just in case you need to refer to it.

I know its a hassle but I am glad to hear they are being nice - so many other clients have to deal with dreadful calls which is much harder to mask when others are around.

I hope they do what you ask and leave you alone.

Can you amend your work number on their website?

We have had other posters with this problem and it can't be very nice but all good advice from Tina and Michael above. x

Thats awful that they are contacting you at work. I have a VERY fussy manager, and if they rang my work like that a lot I would be disciplined! I once left a message at the cats protection society as we were trying to adopt a cat. The lady rang back on my work number when I wasn't there and left a message which was recorded in our message book at work. A week later my manager was reading through the messages and spied it. He made a big ordeal about it and even brought it up at our next staff meeting!!! It would not go down well at all if any of my creditors rang me at work!!

Hi you can see if you can change your work number on their website or ask them to stop if no luck answer and tell tem the person they want has left the company this normally works

I know this feeling only too well, I used to be paged constantly over the PA system, not a nice feeling bud

Next time they ring just tell them the person they are calling is off long term sick with stress, or that they no longer work there. They won't know it is you that is answering the phone.
