Hi,
I currently have 19 payments left on my IVA, a family sitution has arisen and I need some information. Please find that I have given a brief breakdown of what I am facing .Unfortunately my Grandmother has vascular demensia as well as diabetes. She has got to a stage now where at 89 years old she is weak and not taking her medication, we have been advised by her doctor to start funeral arrangements. My Grandmother has no savings what so ever and it is down to my mother, sister and myself to pay for the funeral. I contacted BE to inform them of my situation and informed them that I needed a 2 month break to help contribute to the costs, I was informed that the break should be OK once I provided evidence of a quote which I did, it has now been 2 weeks since I spoke to someone and they informed me that the person dealing with my case would contact once the paperwork was received, scanned and placed on their system. I have not heard anything from BE since my last call to them and I am truly upset by this. I have paid into my IVA religiously over the last 3.5 years, never defaulting at any time, far from defaulting I am paying an extra £100.00 on top of what I'm supposed too. I find it really stressful that they have kept me hanging with no communication, is this the norm for IVA companies? I know that if a penny was owing they would be hunting me down for it. This is my Grandmother at the end of the day, BE were not there for me growing up, she was and I find it quite rude that they have not come back to me with anything. I have now kept June's payment back and will do the same with August as these are the 2 months I asked to defer from, whatever decision is made my Gran comes first.
Please advise as I feel as if I am going off my head..
