Hi - I have recently been promoted at work and my wage has increased considrably , I also get a car allowance. I called the company who handles my IVA and told them the numbers but they said to wait until my income and expenditure review in November and may payment will be adjusted accordingly. Is that correct? Also, I need to contribute more to my ex wife who to be fair doesnt ask for much due to my finances but she will expect more knowing I have more money. Will this be a problem?

I would call again if I were you just to put your mind at rest. If you need to contribute more for any children then that is only right and proper, but do keep records of any changes to your circumstances and dates also. To be on the safe side, I would recommend that you put any and all extra surplus that you currently have away. It is unlikely that you will be asked to contribute every single extra penny, especially if you do have to pay extra for a child or children, but as your IP seems to be reluctant to give you an accurate idea now, then the last thing that you want is to run the risk of ending up in Novenmber in a position where you may potentially owe money.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

Thanks Mike. I just want to ensure I know where I stand as the last thing I need is to have to owe money. I will try and give them a call this week and maybe look to speak to someone else.

Hi Paul, maybe you could email your IP, that way you will have a record of the correspondence.
Congrats on the promotion [:D]

Hi Paul,
I have a payrise ( not a considerable amount mind you [;)] ) once a yr and my I.P. said to wait till my next annual review as your does.
As my I&E goes up due to the cost of living my payments have never increased but as the others have suggested, I would certainly give your I.P. a ring just to clarify this and put your mind at rest.

Not a problem Paul, I'm sure your I.P. will confirm what they have initially said.
