It is always best to let them know everything to do with income and expenditure, you will probably have to do a new I & E are you due a review at all?

Hi melo.om,
We get DLA for my son.
It is included in your I&E but then expenses for food, travel, washing costs etc. should be increased to account for the extra stuff you would need for a disabled child. You will use some of it towards your IVA but if your IP is very good you would pay a small fraction.
I am sure an expert will come along with more specific advice shortly.

The DLA will need to be declared to your IP as income but as already said, you need to also list any costs you have to do with the childs disability. That way, only some of it will be taken into account and you would be able to keep the rest.
