Hi
We have contacted our supervisor as the brother in law has agreed to do a F & F, I have to wait 3 weeks for them to arrange a "interview".
we have 11 months left at 179.20 each, by the time it goes through aparently we will have paid another 2 payments and he has offerd £3k to pay it off.
My questions are
1, What's with the "interview"?
2, Why does it take that long, i.e. 3 weeks?
3, What's the interview about?
4, What can I expect with the offer?
Thanks

HI having never gone through a F&F I'm afraid I don't have the answers but would like to wish you well with your F&F offer.

Hi,
1. The Interview is simply to go through your I & E and why you are proposing a F & F
2. Time frame is probably about right - mine took 2 weeks
3. Again the same as 1
4. Sounds like a good offer - your IP will arrange a variation meeting with the creditors and it will then go from there
Please keep us posted

Hi,
Was just wondering why you are offering 3k when you only owe £1971.20?

Thanks Rayb
I can understand the I&E as to the reason why surely like everyone in an IVA it is so that it is done and dusted, nevermind thanks for the info.
I think it is a good offer for the joint IVA as well, fingers crossed

Sorry - meant to say to me, not from me!
I only wish I could afford to pay people's IVAs off for them![:D][:D]

after chatting to the account person, we agreed it wouldn't be in our best interest to do a full and final at this time, as we had a payment break for maternity which we forgot about so it doesn't finish till next july, nevermind only 13 months to go.

Not a good result, but at least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
Good luck with the rest of the IVA and do keep posting to let us know how things are going.

I have no idea why you actually need an interview or why it should take three weeks to arrange one. Surely you could submit your current income and expenditure figures by post to speed things up a little, and get your relative to submit his offer in writing to avoid any further holdups.
