I started my IVA in august 09 with my now ex-partners income taken into account, since she left in January i have been paying the same amount of monthly payments.Should this not reduce due to only one income now being earned? When i questioned this my case manager said that due to me being in the early stages of my IVA my creditors would not agree to this, is this true? At month 29 my money should rise considerably which i know will not be able for me to afford.Surely this needs to be addressed!

Not true! If you have suffered from an unforseen change in circumstances which is causing you financial hardship, then this needs to be dealt with immediately and creditors informed. How have you been managing to meet the ongoing payments without your partner's support?

My partner had a loan on her car which was offset against my IVA with the condition that whence it was paid off my IVA would accrue to the payment she was paying on her car loan.Since January my case manager said that due to little funds being available how was i going to manage the payment.I have since January hammered the overtime to compensate for the loss of income on my ex-partner not being here to cover. My IVA is with yourselves.
50% of my overtime is taken in to account leaving the remainder to cover.

Hi
Give your IP a call and work out a way forward, you can't continue as you are if you have lost one income and your overtime dries up

Can you e-mail me directly as I cannot identify you from your forum name, and I want to look into this for you personally. My staff would never say that something cannot be done without good reason.
