Hi all [:)]
I have read a lot on here about receiving an annual statement in writing after your review but was wondering do all compnaies have to do this?

We are with DFD but we have never had anything in writing - all we got after the 1st annual review at the end of last year was a telephone call to say payments continue as they were? Nothing in writing.

Is this normal in which case I won't worry or is this something I should chase up?

Thanks [:I]

We are with DFD and after each review we have received a statement from them outlining the payments made to creditors etc - we had to prompt them for our copy but it is a standard document that has to be written after each report.

Hi Til,

My IVA was with DFD and I didn't always get reports etc. so wouldn't worry too much. As long as your payments are up to date and you salary hasn't gone up much I found they didn't really make much contact. Good luck with the rest of your IVA

Thanks Luluj and johnB :o) I may email them just to ask for copy as I am nosey but I won't stress about it then thanks to your advice.
I agree they don't seem to make much contact apart from at review time which for me is nice as I panic every time I get a call or email - still programmed to fret even after all this time lol! Thanks again :o)

Your IP has a legal responsibility to provide you with a copy of their annual report at the end of each year. Are you saying that you have not received any?

Come to think of it we don't receive one every year and we are with DFD. As there are a lot of things i still don't understand (even after being in on this long) it was something I would never have questioned. x

Whilst I didn't mind not receiving a great deal of post from DFD (like Til I used to panic when ever I had received anything from DFD). I would have like a little more when it came to payments etc. especially when mine increased and I wanted to know the amount I had paid in.

Thank you Declan for your kind offer. May get in touch if my Certificate of Completion takes a long time to come through.

In fact, we had our review (we sent off all our details in December) and then all we have received is a phone call to say things aren't changing. We havent received any correspondance at all this year.

Hi Melanie - no we haven't had anything as yet and we are 18 months in - however I am hoping this is just an oversight and now that I have requested a copy of the report I am hopeful it will arrive soon.

Declan Many thanks for your kind offer :o) I have received an email from Customer Care this morning to say they will sort this for me but if I don't hear from them soon I will contact you thank you. It is nice to know you are here for us when we start to fret :o) thank you again.

I agree JohnB - I am happy with no post at all these days (after all the scary letters pre IVA) but it would be nice post when it involves seeing the good news of knowing how far we had come - post saying all is well and look how far you've come towards being debt free would always be welcomed! :o)
