I currently have an IVA with Debt Free Direct it has been running for 6 months, At the time I was working as a financial adviser with Legal & General who were happy for me to have the IVA as they did a financial health check, I also checked with the FSA who have no problems with IVA’s as I did not want the IVA to effect my career prospects. Unfortunately I was made redundant in December 2009. With new employers the IVA is a problem even through the FSA are happy for me to be a financial adviser under their fit and proper rules. Please can you advise?

Hi
At the end of the day I suspect it is down to your employers to make the decision to employ you or not, however it does seem a little unfair to say the least. If you are working under a network and are not the principle then you should be ok.
Let us know how you get on

Hi Russell and welcome to the forum. As Andy says let us know how you get on and hopefully some other professionals will be along shortly to give their views. All the best.

Hi Russell.
This is quote unusual and as Andy says; a little unfair. Do let us know how this goes and if you do have any questions regarding your IVA, do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is listed under my profile on the experts page.
Thanks
